Motor manufacturer maxon strengthens customer support team with new UK Sales Manager for Parvalux brand

maxon, the manufacturer of motor and drive solutions, has recruited Ben Smith as the new UK Sales Manager for the Parvalux brand. Ben will support OEM customers across the UK and Ireland. With over 10 years’ of motor and mechatronic experience, Ben joins maxon as the company sets to expand customer support for the Parvalux range in the brand’s home market.

The new Parvalux UK Sales Manager brings extensive industry experience across a broad range of applications, including medium and low-power motors, mechatronics, and power transmission.

Parvalux is the UK’s largest manufacturer of fractional horsepower, geared electric motors. Ben will apply his experience to the brand’s portfolio, which covers AC motors up to 250W, as well as permanent magnet DC motors and brushless DC motors up to 600W. All of the motor range can be assembled with Parvalux gearheads. Additionally, some of the maxon motor portfolio can be paired with Parvalux gearheads to create powerful and compact geared motor solutions.

Strengthening the Parvalux customer care team is part of maxon’s continued investment in the brand since the acquisition of the UK motor manufacturer in 2018. This investment support has also included a new, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Bournemouth, completed earlier this year.
